Event Production Crew - SF and Bay Area, CA
Our event rental company is in search of dedicated staff to add as team members (serving as independent contractors) to assist with sound, lighting, photobooth, dancefloor, and decor installation at private events throughout the Bay Area and Napa Valley. Please keep in mind that are primarily looking for stage crew to help with setup and operation and installation of event rentals. There is a lot of physical activity required of these productions, although we do utilize several methods of making the work manageable (lift gates, extra staff to help, etc.) Here's what the job entails:
1) Lifting, loading, and unloading of Event Rentals, furniture, dance floors, decor, Audio/Visual/Lighting Equipment. and dance floor cases (up to 75lbs), rolling equipment to and from locations within the venue.
2) Running cabling, taping cables down, wrapping up cabling
3) Setting up and breaking down light systems (assembling/disassembling lighting stands, and attaching/detaching lighting fixtures)
4) Assembling and operating Projection Screens, control A/V presentations
5) Setting up decor lighting (uplighting, monograms, etc.)
6) Be professional, courteous, and enthusiastic -- work with other vendors and event coordinators to provide solutions to problems.
Compensation is as follows: $20 per hour . After enough experience and demonstrated competence, you will be promoted to Production Manager and will setup and install equipment, and supervise Interns and Production Assistants, earning $200 - $400 per event (depending on your technical aptitude).
We are looking for a long term additions to our "family" (at least 1-2 years commitment is ideal) and would like to work together to increase income potential as time progresses.
Events sometimes last from early morning until approximately 1 AM ( however you will only really be "working" about 6-8 full hours of that)..
