Motion capture studio looking for freelance builders capable of creating sets and props for use on stage. The studio is located in Petaluma and we would love to find local set builders to call upon for large, demanding shoots. If you aren't familiar with motion capture we have actors wear suits with reflective markers attached to their joints. We then capture their movement and retarget it to animated characters. Contracts will range from a few days to a few months. 

Carpenters must have basic woodworking skills. They must be safe and comfortable using various saws and building. Set builds are somewhat simple for example: creating more of a skeleton of a kitchen for camera visibility. There isn't a lot of fine detail, but surfaces for talent to interact with. The number one concern is making props and sets that are actor friendly. Props that are well thought out and sanded to prevent splinters and solid safe set builds made for talent to focus on their job once we've finished ours. We are dedicated to making builds safe, sturdy, to scale, and easy for our cameras to have visibility of the talent. We work Monday- Friday and occasionally weekend work is available.

Pay hourly and paid overtime.
