Assistant Video Editor - San Francisco, CA
Seeker is looking for a qualified Assistant Video Editor experienced with Adobe Premiere Pro to support our post-production and creative team. This is a perfect opportunity for a beginning editor to gain hands-on experience in non-fiction video production and editing for a leading digital media company. This is a full-time position and located in San Francisco, CA.
• Please send and include your resume and clips (portfolio/reel) with this application.* Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To • Assist video editors by preparing projects in Premiere Pro: ingest, log, file organization, a-roll interviews, and audio syncing • Help source, capture and organize b-roll footage and stock images • Prepare interviews for transcription • Revise media based on feedback from editors and production teams • Support thumbnail production as needed • Support producers during studio and field productions • Prepare projects for archiving and delivery following Seeker and Group Nine Media’s specs and best practices • Assist production team with supporting documentation: music reporting, show logs and updating Seeker’s database, etc. • Perform other job duties as needed Requirements • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro – please include links to your work • Organized, self-starter with the ability to work independently • Excellent communication and writing skills • Creative, dependable and ready to learn!
