CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGER - Gallery - San Francisco CA

Minnesota Street Project Art Services provides a comprehensive, concierge-based art collection management service to private collectors, galleries, and institutions. Adhering to the best art handling practices, we package, install, transport, inventory, and store artwork in conformance with museum standards, with 100% of our profits going to supporting and sustaining Bay Area arts and culture. Our 50,000 ft2 storage facility located in San Francisco, CA, features state-of the art environmental-control and security systems, as well as an attractive viewing room and photography facility. We are currently looking for a Client Relations Manager to join our team of arts professionals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Exhibits a friendly and approachable demeanor with all Minnesota Street Project clients, staff, and vendors, acting as a positive ambassador for Art Services and the overall Project; maintains excellent relationships with elite clientele, including institutions, collectors, consultants, gallerists and other arts professionals, to communicate what Art Services does, project a presence in the community consistent with our reputation and goals, and ensure industry-leading client satisfaction. • Maintains primary responsibility, working with the Art Services Director, to effectively target new business and engage potential clients consistent with overall business goals, as established by the owners and Art Services Director; maintains a new-business pipeline and regularly reports on client engagement opportunities, client satisfaction and challenges, and recommends steps to resolve client concerns. • Performs business development functions, including initial client prospecting through final account set-up; leads tours and events within our facility, as well as engages with prospects outside of the office. • Develops and executes strategic marketing campaigns, including development of key messages for various target client segments; keeps our social media presence, collateral materials, and website current. • Proactively manages client accounts to ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction, bolster account growth, and maintain retention. • Uses ongoing client and prospect relationships to identify new services and policy offerings to better meet the diverse needs of our clients and grow our business with, and role in, the fine-arts community. • Acts as first point of contact for all new incoming client inquiries, introduces clients to their appropriate Project Managers in a timely manner, and monitors and ensures client satisfaction through job set-up, execution, and follow-up. • Collaborates with Project Managers to help prioritize jobs; performs calendar checks on specific accounts to confirm updated COIs, release authorizations, or other pertinent documentation has been properly addressed. • Trains Art Services team members on customer service protocols and procedures; respectfully enforces quality assurance with office staff and field teams. • Reviews monthly invoices for quality control and confirms totals are within original estimates provided; tracks A/R functions and contacts clients about outstanding invoices, when applicable. • Networks and community-builds through active engagement with gallery openings, client events, and partner functions; travels on a quarterly basis for meetings with specific partners and/or targets outside of the Bay Area, as well as art fairs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • BA in Art History, Visual Arts, Art Business or equivalent required; MA preferred. • Minimum 5 years of experience in auction house, museum, gallery, or art shipping organization; must have first-hand client relations experience. • Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems, effectively prioritize, and manage time efficiently. • Demonstrated concern for detail, accuracy and precise execution of work; excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. • Proficient with PC and Mac operating systems and software, including Adobe and Microsoft Suites and Filemaker Pro; knowledgeable with G Suite and CRMs. Reports to Art Services Director
