REPORTS TO: Conservatory Manager
The Conservatory Associate, Academic Programs, plays an integral role in the daily administrative operations of the Master of Fine Arts, San Francisco Semester, Summer Training Congress, and general support of the Conservatory office. Working in tandem with the Conservatory Manager, this role actively supports the heads of each of these programs. Specific responsibilities include:
· Act as key administrative support for the Conservatory Director, including managing Director’s calendar
· Process, respond to, and track information requests and serve as liaison for administration, faculty and student for each of the three academic programs
· Assist Conservatory Manager with weekly calendar management for all academic programs
· Plan recruitment trips and serve as liaison for recruiters and campus contacts during recruitment trips
· Manage payments for recruiters of MFA, SFS, STC programs
· Plan and execute key events for all program related events including but not limited to: program graduations, audition and callback sessions, student and faculty events
· Support MFA Alumni outreach, including, but not limited to, planning and execution of Alumni meetings and events, tracking Alumni information and updating Alumni social media
· Support the Director of Admissions in processing applications and general student database management
· Create Student Evaluation and Faculty Feedback forms
· Attend, prepare and distribute minutes for MFA and SF Semester Faculty meetings, plus other departmental meetings as needed
· Assist Conservatory Manager in mentorship and task allocation for Conservatory Fellow
· Serve as primary liaison for all federally funded work-study and work promise opportunities in the Academic programs
· Supervision of work-study students working in the Conservatory offices
· Other administrative duties as assigned.
Required:
· College Degree, or commensurate professional experience
· Three (3) years working in an administrative setting
· Excellent Calendar Management, Communication (verbal and written), Organization, Prioritization, Customer Service skills
· Keen Attention to Detail
· High level of emotional intelligence (EQ)
· Demonstrated Experience in Event Management
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel) and Social Media platforms (e.g. Facebook)
· Ability to interact with a variety of supervisors and constituencies
· Experience working in an academic environment with Students of all ages
Preferred:
· Experience in administration for a higher learning academic institution
· Background in Theater or Performing Arts
· Basic HTML proficiency a plus
