CALL FOR ARTISTS Proposals for EDUCATION COURSES - San Francisco CA
We are excited to announce our open call for faculty course proposals to teach in SFAI’s 2018 Public Education program! We encourage you to join our team and to help us offer an extraordinary range of courses.
Public Education offers non-credit evening and weekend classes to artists ages 17+ up ranging from skill-based courses to artist-driven experiences. Public Education invites people of all skill levels and backgrounds to experience the unique and rigorous approach to art education that San Francisco Art Institute is famous for, as they study with professional artists.
Public Education, as a component of SFAI's Exhibitions and Public Programs Department, promotes an environment that catalyzes the creative processes of its students, and creates intimate connections between the SFAI community and the public. Faculty in the program are exhibiting artists, with a desire to engage in this mission.
We seek proposals for one- to six-week-long courses from practicing artists that span the breadth of contemporary art + technology, drawing, painting, photography, film, printmaking, new genres, sculpture, and social practice.
SALARY:
$35-$50 per contact hour, depending on experience.
