Role Summary
We are building a flexible team of Camera Technician to help with the MSG Sphere shoots. The Camera technician will be an as-needed role to support MSG Ventures. The shoot schedules and locations will vary but our main studio is in San Francisco.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
The Camera technician will be responsible for timely repairs and upkeep of our custom cameras. Works directly with Camera Engineers and Fabricators.
Qualifications
Evaluation of the performance, condition and quality control of cameras
Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues, and providing estimates of repair
Maintenance and repair of all cameras
Completing necessary repair paperwork documenting work performed and parts utilized
Providing technical training to colleagues in order to enable them to perform appropriate maintenance and repairs
Keep inventory and manage use of equipment
Schedule, pick up and return rental equiptment
Education
• Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in servicing and repairing professional cameras
• Understanding of digital video production, digital workflows, cinematography, and/or post production environment
• Exceptional optical and mechanical skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
