Functional Area Production

Role Summary

We are building a flexible team of Camera Technician to help with the MSG Sphere shoots. The Camera technician will be an as-needed role to support MSG Ventures. The shoot schedules and locations will vary but our main studio is in San Francisco.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

The Camera technician will be responsible for timely repairs and upkeep of our custom cameras. Works directly with Camera Engineers and Fabricators.

Qualifications

• Evaluation of the performance, condition and quality control of cameras

• Troubleshooting and identifying equipment issues, and providing estimates of repair

• Maintenance and repair of all cameras

• Completing necessary repair paperwork documenting work performed and parts utilized

• Providing technical training to colleagues in order to enable them to perform appropriate maintenance and repairs

• Keep inventory and manage use of equipment

• Schedule, pick up and return rental equiptment

Education

• Bachelors Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in servicing and repairing professional cameras
• Understanding of digital video production, digital workflows, cinematography, and/or post production environment 
• Exceptional optical and mechanical skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
