About the job

As a film director, you're an extraordinary visual story-teller ready to join the internal creative team at Google Cloud. The creative brief is simple: Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Your job will be to demonstrate how Google’s products solves customer’s most important issues, problems and opportunities - from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And, you approach marketing in a way that only Google can - breaking the rules, redefining the medium, making the user the hero and, ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

As a Film Director you will be working with our top customers and brands in the world to tell the stories of how Google Cloud has transformed their businesses in beautiful and compelling documentary-style films. You’ll also work with our creative leaders to bring anthemic brand films and inspiring product films to life.

Responsibilities

  • A rich and deep understanding of the Google Cloud brand: products, culture and the team in order to bring the stories of how we’re helping our customers succeed to life on film.

  • Develop rich, insightful briefs and treatments with our internal stakeholders that inform engaging customer conversations and compelling visual narratives.

  • Inspire your team to capture profound insights and beautiful imagery while nurturing a professional, relaxed set and environment.

  • Collaborate with your editor, creative team and stakeholders in guiding an impactful story through delivery.

  • Provide guidance to our global colleagues and cross functional leaders to help elevate work and align to the Google Cloud brand.
