Zync Music Virtual Internship (Fall 2021)
We are looking for a bright, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual that has a passion for music and an interest in learning more about music licensing and publishing. By working with a team that specializes in the placement of songs in advertising, film, tv, trailers and video games, our intern will understand the intricacies of procurement and what it takes to make that happen.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing and A&R:
Updating and maintaining various calendars, like new releases and tour dates-Helping build digital blasts + show invites within Mailchimp-Listening to and providing feedback on incoming music submissions
Social media page management and monitoring online activity of our roster of artists
Publishing, advertising, network, and studio research to maintain and update database of film and TV projects
Weekly reporting on industry trends
Assist with creating links using Disco + Dropbox
Updating Zync Spotify playlists
Metadata & Tagging:
Help maintain the department’s asset library including organizing audio files, adding/updating writer/publisher information, adding metadata, lyrics, artwork, etc.
Publishing, advertising, network, and studio research to maintain and update database of film and TV projects
Support in ingesting music into our library and craft descriptive tagging for the incoming tracks
Log recording and compositional copyright information in our database
Must have proactive and high attention to detail
Experience with Google Services like Sheets is a plus
Requirements:
Must be familiar with the music industry, social media savvy, and have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Intern Eligibility:
Preferably an upper classman who must be currently enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program OR graduated within the past 12 months
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be available at least 12 hours per week
This internship is unpaid.
