Associate Director for the Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Part time / entry level position (may become full time in the future with possibility for growth)
• Experience in organizing events and or film festivals
• Appreciation for films
• Detailed oriented and creativity
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Report to the Executive Director and assist with Administration
• Assist the Program Director
• Involved with previewing films
• Marketing – participate in marketing meetings, initiate new ideas and maintain new/ old contacts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Responsible for community outreach
• Help with fundraising efforts
• Assist with selling ads to the festival brochure
• Help with grant proposal and look for corporate big sponsors
• Support year-round programming and joint ventures with community groups
• Secure all films promotional materials for the brochures and website (high resolution photos, synopsis, official trailers, bio of guests, etc.
• Help with brochures, flyers, others
• Responsible for logistical delivery of films to the theater in a timely manner
• Follow up with distributors regarding formats.
• After screening collection the film from theater and send to next destination or back to distributor
• During the festival and all year-round program assist as needed – ushering, box office, theater and others.
• Drive recruitment and cultivation of volunteers
