The Internship:
Live Nation’s Special Events team, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the hospitality and event-sales industry. As a Live Nation Special Events Intern, you will gain valuable, real-world experience while reporting to the Special Events Coordinator, Director of Sales and assisting the entire Live Nation Special Events department.
Learning Objectives:
Execute weekly excel reports in a timely manner.
Research hospitality and events industry contacts by market.
Research potential clients in industries as assigned.
Assist with growing special events database.
Help manage division page on company intranet and assist with archives.
Manage department contact list.
Assist Director of Sales with shipments and administrative tasks.
Assist Special Events Coordinator with assigned marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
Must be eligible for school credit (and able to supply a letter from sponsor/administrator upon request)
A degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing is preferred, but not required.
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to commit to a minimum work schedule of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Detail-oriented and exceptional attention to detail is a MUST.
Able to coordinate multiple work streams for on-time project delivery
Eager to learn and be proactive with new tasks
The ability to conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times
High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
We are currently searching for a qualified individual to fill this internship position for the summer semester. The student will work at our Live Nation office in San Francisco.
This internship MUST BE for college credit. It is a non-paid position with flexible hours (minimum 20 per week) to reflect the need of your college credit requirements. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Consecutive days (i.e. Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday) preferred to meet project demands.
