Seeking an organized and diligent candidate for the position of troupe director for The Murder Mystery Co. The individual will be responsible for taking charge as a strong, competent leader and enthusiastic role model for the Improv troupe.

Expected work commitment is 30 hours per week and an additional 10 hours paid travel time to San Jose

All rehearsals take place near downtown Sacramento and downtown San Jose

All performances take place within the United States

Applicants must be over the age of 18

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regular duties will consist of the following:

• presiding over weekly rehearsals in a location central to Sacramento troupe

• presiding over weekly rehearsals on Monday morning through Tuesday evening in a location central to San Jose

• presiding over weekly Leadership Meetings with assistant director team for 30-60 minutes

• performing at least one show with both the San Jose and Sacramento troupes at least once a month

• attending and facilitating auditions for new actors as needed and making final hiring decisions (a minimum of two auditions per year)

• preparing, building, and delivering show bins for upcoming scheduled performances

• reorganizing and checking show bins once returned from scheduled shows, and following up on post-show reports (can be delegated to AD with monitoring)

• casting upcoming scheduled shows no less than three weeks in advance

• working with regional managers to maintain up-to-date inventory

Job Type: Contract . Salary: $15.00 /hour
